Accounting Intern

This is a paid internship offering hands-on experience in accounting, tax preparation, and financial reporting.

The position is remote and flexible, providing opportunities to develop critical skills in accounting through practical, on-the-job training.

Must be located in Virginia and enrolled and/or recently graduated from a Virginia school

• Bookkeeping for business clients using QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and record journal entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and tax returns (individual, business,fiduciary).
• Use data analysis to provide insights and recommendations.
• Assist with tax research and preparation of related documents.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and respond to inquiries.
• Complete special projects as needed.

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited program with a major inAccounting or Finance (Associates, Bachelor’s, or Master’s level).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
