We are looking for an Accounting & Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team.

In this role, you will support the US GAAP accounting and consolidated financial reporting function of VersaBank while ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, applicable banking regulations, and internal control standards.

You will will work closely with management, regulators, external auditors, and other members of the team to prepare accurate and timely financial information.

You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging technology, automation, and process enhancements to improve efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and enhance the quality and timeliness of financial reporting.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Prepare inputs into the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements and related disclosures for SEC and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and other accounting analyses.
• Assist with the implementation of US GAAP accounting policies.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory examinations by preparing requested documentation and responding to information requests.
• Assist with the development, documentation, and maintenance of SOX 404 internal controls over financial reporting.
