About the Role
Embassy Capital seeks an Accounting & Finance Officer to own day-to-day bookkeeping, financial operations, regulatory reporting to DFSA, and audit coordination. The role requires 3-7 years of accounting/finance experience, ideally in a regulated financial services firm, and proficiency in accounting software and Excel.

Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly bank reconciliations for the firm and any managed fund vehicles
- Process supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and payroll inputs in line with internal approval controls
- Prepare and post month end and year end journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and intercompany records where applicable
- Manage day to day cash and treasury positions, including funding and settlement instructions
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for review by the CEO
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS for the firm and any related fund entities
- Prepare and submit periodic prudential and financial returns to the DFSA
- Monitor the firm's regulatory capital resources against DFSA capital requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–7 years' relevant experience in accounting/finance, ideally within asset management, fund administration, or another DFSA/FCA/SEC regulated financial services firm
- Working knowledge of DFSA prudential and reporting requirements is a strong advantage
- Experience preparing for and managing external audits
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or NAV/Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills

Position Summary

Bookkeeping & Financial Operations
- Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly bank reconciliations for the firm and any managed fund vehicles.
- Process supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and payroll inputs in line with internal approval controls.
- Prepare and post month end and year end journal entries, accruals, and prepayments.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset and intercompany records where applicable.
- Manage day to day cash and treasury positions, including funding and settlement instructions.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for review by the CEO.
- Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS for the firm and any related fund entities.
- Support consolidation and reporting to the parent group or Board, where relevant.
Regulatory Compliance & DFSA Reporting
- Prepare and submit periodic prudential and financial returns to the DFSA (e.g. capital adequacy, liquidity, and other regulatory filings) within required deadlines.
- Monitor the firm's regulatory capital resources against DFSA capital requirements and flag any threshold concerns.
- Support the Compliance Officer/MLRO on finance related regulatory matters, including DIFC Registrar of Companies and Economic Substance Regulations (ESR) filings.
- Keep abreast of changes to DFSA rulebooks (GEN, PIB, COB) affecting financial and prudential reporting obligations.
Audit Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing audit schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate the year end audit timetable, respond to auditor queries, and track resolution of audit findings and management letter points.
- Liaise with internal audit or group audit functions where applicable.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis
- Prepare the annual budget and periodic re forecasts in coordination with the CFO and business heads.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, investigating and reporting on variances.
- Provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support business and investment decisions.
Other
- Assist with tax matters, including UAE Corporate Tax and VAT compliance and filings.
- Support the renewal of insurance, and finance related aspects of vendor and banking relationships.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial controls, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–7 years' relevant experience in accounting/finance, ideally within asset management, fund administration, or another DFSA/FCA/SEC regulated financial services firm.
