Accounting Associate

We are currently recruiting recent graduates from accounting or commerce programs to join our Property Management division as Accounting Associates.

This entry-level position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial real estate accounting while working closely with our experienced team members.

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Associate will be part of a structured career program designed to cultivate the skills and knowledge necessary to advance within the organization.

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks such as approving accounts payable, bank reconciliations, HST filing, expense tracking and tenant billing.
• Banking for bill payments and special deposit requests.
• Collaborate with Property Management and Leasing Teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets for various properties within our portfolio.
• Paper filing and boxing documents.
• Document and maintain of department Accounting Procedures

The Accounting Associate position serves as the first step in our career advancement program.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to progress to Senior Associate role and ultimately become a Property Accountant; a respected professional in the field of commercial real estate accounting, within three years.
