The Accounting Assistant will complete a broad scope of routine accounting tasks under general supervision.
The role supports accounting records, invoices, reconciliations, analyses, databases, and other accounting personnel.
Accounting Duties
- Receive accounting information from internal and external sources.
- Audit invoices for supporting documentation and verify account and sub-job charges.
- Process journals, registers, ledgers, budgets, tax reports, and client invoices.
- Maintain accounting records and enter information into a computerized accounting system.
- Prepare information for departments, clients, and suppliers.
- Perform financial reconciliations and proofs.
- Answer inquiries and prepare standard analyses.
- Maintain computerized tracking and information databases.
- Provide guidance to lower-level Accounting support personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- 0–2 years of experience in the field is required.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses and basic accounting knowledge are required.
- The role requires mathematical aptitude and computer proficiency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
- The role requires efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
