Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance

Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of closing entries and reconciliations

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and supporting reports

Validate monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Process and reconcile payroll transactions

Prepare or coordinate indirect tax filings, including GST/HST and QST filings, as applicable

Assist with corporate tax documentation and support T2 filing requirements

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including ASPE and/or IFRS

Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, consultants, and tax authorities, including the CRA and Revenu Québec

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to accounting processes, systems, and internal controls

Participate in ERP and financial system upgrades, implementations, or migrations, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central

Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data across accounting systems

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience with exposure to full-cycle accounting

Experience working with ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Business Central is considered an asset

Previous experience within a public accounting firm is considered an asset

Strong knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax requirements, including GST/HST, QST, and corporate tax processes

Knowledge of ASPE and/or IFRS considered an asset

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable working style

Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken
