About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Dubai for a Government Entity. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial accounting activities, prepare financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with regulations.

- Manage day to day financial accounting activities including posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and maintaining general ledger
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes and assist with variance analysis
- Process payables and receivables, monitor cash flows
- Coordinate with internal departments for proper documentation and approvals
- Support internal and external audits
- Help implement process improvements
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time
Requirements
- Proven experience in general accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
- Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Familiarity with UAE accounting standards and regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software and Oracle systems
- Solid Excel and MS Office skills
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem solving
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage
- Prior experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments preferred

- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage
- Prior experience in government, public sector, or regulated environments is preferred
- Ability to work on site in Dubai and manage deadlines in a structured, process driven setting
