Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and accounting compliance work for UAE and international clients
- Supervise, support and review the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely completion
- Prepare VAT returns, accounting schedules, management accounts and statutory accounts
- Assist with preparation of Corporate Tax returns, tax computations, disclosures and supporting documentation
- Support senior team members with Corporate Tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing projects
- Assist in drafting tax memorandums, letters, compliance reports and other client deliverables
- Support clients with UAE CT and VAT matters including registrations, deregistrations, amendments and compliance queries
- Liaise with clients to collect information, answer routine queries and follow up on outstanding matters
- Liaise with external regulators, auditors and other professional advisers where required
- Support senior managers and partners in preparing proposals, presentations and other client materials
- Act as first point of review and escalation for junior accountants, referring complex matters to senior team
- Stay updated on UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and accounting developments
Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in accountancy, tax practice or related professional services environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
- Good working knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and accounting compliance requirements
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software including QuickBooks and Xero
- Fluency in English
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within UAE and occasionally internationally
- Relevant professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CTA, ADIT or ATT) is desirable
- Experience reviewing or supervising junior team members is desirable

Overview
- WellTax is an established and growing firm based in London (UK) and Dubai (UAE), looking for an Accountant to join our office in Dubai (UAE).
- The ideal candidate will have solid experience in accounting, UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and related compliance matters, together with the ability to supervise and support junior accountants.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assist with UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and accounting compliance work for UAE and international clients.
- Supervise, support and review the work of junior accountants, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate day to day workflows within the junior accounting team and monitor progress against internal deadlines.
- Prepare VAT returns, accounting schedules, management accounts and statutory accounts in line with applicable standards.
- Assist with the preparation of Corporate Tax returns, tax computations, disclosures and supporting documentation.
- Support senior team members with Corporate Tax, VAT and Transfer Pricing projects.

Requirements

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and relevant UAE regulatory requirements.
- Accurate, detail oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Confident communicator with a professional and client focused approach.
- Able to deal with client enquiries in a timely and precise manner.
- Flexible and able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero.
- Good understanding of the UAE market, local business practices and regulations.
