JOB SUMMARY: Analyzes general ledger accounts and prepares preliminary monthly financial statements.
Assists the Supervisor (or other members of management) with the preparation, maintenance of records and entries for the general ledger.
Prepares and maintains physical accounting records utilizing generally accepted principles of accounting.
Reviews the work of accountants for accuracy and provides constructive feedback.
Assists with audits and other examinations by preparing work papers and supporting schedules.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: B.S.
Degree in accounting from an accredited college or university or four (4) years of related accounting experience in lieu of degree.
Work Experience (Years and Area): Two (2) years of accounting experience.
One (1) year of general ledger accounting experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contract), Exceptional Verbal (e.g., Public Speaking), Writing /Composing, Correspondence /Reports.
Other Skills: Analytical, Mathematics, Research, Statistical, P.C., MS Word, MS Excel Work Schedule: Flexible, Overtime
