Role Overview
The role is for an Accountant focused on import, export, shipping, and logistics activities.
The position is based in Dubai, UAE, and requires at least 3–4 years of UAE experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
- Handle import, export, shipping, freight, and logistics-related accounts.
- Record and monitor customs, freight, clearance, and transportation expenses.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end closing.
- Handle UAE VAT-related accounting and documentation.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, shipping agents, and auditors.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payments and collections.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in import/export, shipping, logistics, or trading is required.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices is required.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting or ERP software is required.
- Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills are required.
