The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, within the Finance and Accounting department.
The Accountant reports to the Finance Manager.
The role manages daily accounting activities and supports ERP implementation and enhancement for a logistics business.
Job Summary and Duties
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, bank reconciliations, VAT reconciliation and filing, fixed assets, month-end closing, financial reporting, and Profit and Loss.
- Support ERP implementation and enhancement.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate Chart of Accounts and accounting processes for a logistics business.
- Work independently and meet strict monthly closing deadlines.
Key Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Have 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience; logistics, shipping, or freight forwarding experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Have practical experience in AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, VAT, and month-end closing.
- Have strong knowledge of Saudi Arabia VAT and ZATCA requirements.
- Have experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
- ERP implementation or finance system migration experience is highly advantageous.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel and understand Chart of Accounts structures.
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Be accurate, detail-oriented, and able to meet monthly closing deadlines.
