Position Summary

Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.

Maintain financial records, cash, cash equivalents, and computerized financial information.

Prepare accounting, auditing, payroll, and financial reports.

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data using journals, ledgers, and computers.
  • Complete period-end closing procedures and reports.
  • Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements.
  • Follow up on past-due accounts and vendor invoices until payment is received or resolved.
  • Prepare daily consolidated cash deposits.
  • Document and act upon cash variances.
  • Prepare, maintain, and administer cashier banks and contracts.

General Responsibilities

  • Follow company policies and procedures and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
  • Use clear and professional language and prepare written documents accurately.
  • Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • At least one year of related work experience is preferred.
  • No supervisory experience is required.

License or Certification

  • SOCPA certification is required.
