Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced **Accountant** to join our team.
The ideal candidate must have prior accounting experience within a **shipping or logistics company** and be familiar with industry-related financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily accounting operations and financial transactions
- Prepare invoices, statements, and financial reports
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
- Monitor expenses and ensure proper record keeping
- Coordinate with operations and management regarding shipping-related financial matters
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements
- **Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in a shipping or logistics company (mandatory)**
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of shipping documentation and freight-related accounting
- Experience working in the UAE shipping/logistics sector
