Responsibilities
- Manage day to day financial operations, including recording transactions and maintaining general ledgers
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Process accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations
- Assist with audits and implement internal controls
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide accurate financial data
- Take over accounting system, review and correct accounting gaps, support handover from outsourced accounting
- Perform in depth reviews of existing accounting records, lead backlog reconciliations with payment gateways
- Document current finance processes, identify control gaps, propose improvements
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA)
- At least 4 7 years of Accounting/Finance experience
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
- Advance Excel and BI tool skills
- Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit processes relevant to UAE
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Role Description

Qualifications
- Strong foundation in financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit processes relevant to UAE.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, and solid skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
What You'll Do
- Take over the accounting system for capturing transactions and reporting.
- Review, correct and stabilize accounting gaps with focus on inter company balances.
- Support a structured handover and eventual phase out of outsourced accounting support.
- Perform in depth reviews of existing accounting records to identify logic gaps and reconciliation issues.
- Lead backlog reconciliations with payment gateways and sellers.
- Document current finance processes, identify control gaps and propose improvements.
- Provide day to day operational finance support for the UAE entity.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/CPA/CMA)
- At least 4 7 years of Accounting/Finance experience
- Background in a reputable audit firm (good to have)
- Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
- Advance Excel and BI tool skills
