Role Overview
The employer is hiring an experienced Accountant (Chinese Speaker) to join its Dubai team.
The role works under the guidance of an FTA-approved tax agent and supports accounting, reporting, and UAE tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and other daily financial transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets and profit and loss statements independently.
- Complete monthly and year-end closing, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries.
- Prepare and file VAT returns end-to-end under UAE tax regulations.
- Prepare budgets, cash flow analyses, and financial forecasts for management.
- Maintain accounting documentation and coordinate directly with external auditors.
- Use English and Chinese communication skills to discuss, clarify, and document business matters with management.
Qualifications
- Fluent English and Chinese language skills are mandatory.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Candidates should have 4–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and UAE tax law is required.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo, ERP, or similar accounting software is required.
- Additional certification such as ACCA is advantageous.
