Role Description

  • The Senior Accountant is a full time, on site role based at EMC | European Medical Center in Jeddah.
  • This role is responsible for overseeing day to day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month end and year end closing activities.
  • The Senior Accountant prepares financial statements, management reports, and analyses to support decision making and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
  • Responsibilities also include monitoring budgets, assisting with audits, improving internal controls, and supporting the finance team with process optimization.
  • The role works closely with clinical and administrative departments to provide accurate financial information and ensure timely, reliable reporting.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decisions.
  • Knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and healthcare financial practices; experience with audit preparation is an advantage.
  • Advanced skills in accounting and ERP software, as well as MS Excel and other relevant office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on site in a fast paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, ideally within healthcare or a service oriented organization.
