Account Representative I (Events - Canada)

The Account Representative will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying and generating new sales leads to support SME’s portfolio of events. This individual will be a highly motivated, self-starter able to identify and develop new customer prospects from multiple sources including prospect lists, attending industry events, discovery and individual research.

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:

Prospect and call-on targeted lists of companies to promote an interest in SME Events.

Heavy daily call volume and reporting

Calling Contacts in the Manufacturing Industry nationwide

Research and identify new prospect opportunities through the use of technology tools, social media, newsfeeds and other methods.

Research and identify key contacts within new accounts.

Effectively deliver guided messaging through cold-calling and call-response that identifies eligible prospects.

Qualify and properly hand-off leads to appropriate sales team member.

Traveling to competitive events to prospect for new leads as assigned (up to 20% per year)

Help ensure our data within SF.com is up to date for marketing and sales
