Account Receivable (AR)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounts receivable activities and issue invoices and credit notes.
• Record payments, monitor outstanding invoices, and follow up on overdue balances.
• Prepare aging reports, reconciliations, AR schedules, payment reports, and management reports.
• Coordinate with sales and other departments on billing and payment matters.
• Respond to customer inquiries about invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Assist with monthly closing, cash-flow monitoring, VAT documentation, and audit requests.
• Maintain accurate customer information and financial records in accounting or ERP systems.
• Follow accounting procedures and internal controls while protecting confidential information.

What We Are Looking For

• Good understanding of accounting principles, particularly accounts receivable.
• Practical knowledge of invoicing, payment processing, collections, and reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical and analytical skills, and organizational ability.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Strong English communication skills; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• UAE accounting or accounts receivable experience is advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting, bookkeeping, finance administration, or a similar role is preferred.
• Relevant internship or practical accounting experience may be considered for junior positions.
• Experience with Excel formulas, sorting, filtering, and pivot tables is preferred.
• Accounting software or ERP experience is advantageous.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT and basic UAE accounting practices is beneficial.
• ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or another relevant accounting qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
