About the Role

- Market Variperm products and services to new and existing customers and profitably grow relationships.
- Understand customer needs and match with Variperm products and services; provide intelligence for future needs.
- Contribute to development and improvement of market knowledge, competitive information, customer relationships, and sales strategy.
- Maintain customer accounts to ensure seamless supply of products and services.
- Increase awareness and industry visibility of Variperm's products through customer presentations, industry associations, and networks.
- Coordinate with sales team to set and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Work with sales team and internal teams to proactively anticipate and meet customer needs.
- Prepare, submit, track, and close RFQ, RFP, and quotes.
Requirements
- Post secondary education in a relevant field; engineering degree preferred, or combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of progressive business development experience in the oil and gas industry
- Specific knowledge of the Canadian oil and gas market
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas value chain and manufacturing processes
- Established relationships with oil and gas industry in Canada
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to communicate technical information with engineers, manufacturing, and inventory/purchasing departments
- Strong technical aptitude to understand complex products and engineering/design principles

- The Account Manager drives sales of Variperm products and services by developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, promoting offerings, gathering market intelligence, and contributing to strategic growth.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Market Variperm products and services to new and existing customers and profitably grow relationships.
- Have clear understanding of customer needs and Variperm products/services that meet those needs; provide intelligence for future needs.
- Contribute to development and improvement of market knowledge, competitive information, customer relationships, marketing and sales strategy, sales networks.
- Maintain customer accounts to ensure seamless supply of products and services.
- Increase awareness and industry visibility of Variperm's products through customer presentations, industry associations, and networks.
- Coordinate with sales team to set and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Work with sales team and internal teams to proactively anticipate and meet customer needs.
- Preparation, submission, tracking and closing of RFQ, RFP and quotes.
Skills/Knowledge
- Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills in fast paced environment.
- Demonstrates strong initiative, drive, and ownership.
- Recognized as strategic partner through strong relationships.
- Strong command of English language both written and verbal.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate technical information with engineers, manufacturing, and inventory/purchasing departments.
- Strong technical aptitude with ability to understand complex products and engineering/design principles.
- Works independently with clients, including occasional site visits.
Education
- Post secondary education in a relevant field; engineering degree preferred, or combination of education and experience.
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive business development experience in the oil and gas industry, with specific knowledge of Canadian oil and gas market.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of oil and gas value chain and manufacturing processes.
- Established relationships with oil and gas industry in Canada.
