Role Description

  • The Account Manager role is a full time, on site position based in Dubai, requiring strong UAE retail accounting experience and ability to manage financial operations across all supermarket branches and warehouse facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete accounting operations for all supermarket branches and warehouse.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of the General Ledger.
  • Monitor daily sales reconciliation, cash collection, and banking transactions.
  • Supervise Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and credit control.
  • Manage supplier payments, customer accounts, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, profitability analysis, and financial dashboards.
  • Monitor branch wise and warehouse inventory valuation and reconciliation.
  • Control operational expenses and recommend cost saving initiatives.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of UAE accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Prior experience in supermarkets, hypermarkets, retail chains, FMCG, or wholesale trading is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
  • Experience handling multi branch accounting operations.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Financial Analysis).
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Focus ERP, Zoho Books, Tally Prime, or other retail accounting software.
  • Strong inventory accounting and stock reconciliation knowledge.
  • Financial planning and budgeting.
  • Cash flow management.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Cost control and financial analysis.
  • MIS reporting and dashboard preparation.
