About The Role

  • The Account Manager is responsible for managing and retaining a portfolio of institutional accounts, driving revenue growth through relationship building, strategic account planning, and consultative sales approaches.
  • This role requires deep understanding of customer needs, data-driven decision making, and the ability to identify cross-selling opportunities learning products.
  • The primary focus of this role would be for higher education products and portfolio.
  • How you will make an impact:
  • Drive growth across the assigned territory by achieving and exceeding annual sales targets for Wiley s print and digital solutions
  • Build and manage strong relationships with academic institutions, resellers, and new prospects to expand adoption and renewals
  • Promote front list and digital products, with a strong focus on supporting digital transition in Higher Education
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans, managing pipeline activity, forecasting, and reporting against targets
  • Represent Wiley products commercially, present proposals, and negotiate terms to close new and renewal business
  • Gather and share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights to inform internal teams
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, customer service, and digital teams to deliver a strong customer experience
  • What we look for:
  • Bachelor s degree (BA/BS)
  • Previous sales experience within publishing or education-focused industries
  • 3-5+ years of experience hitting targets and managing strategic account
  • Strong knowledge of academic institutions and the Higher Education market
  • Working knowledge of digital books, formats, and industry sales models
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • High level of initiative, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Ability to travel regularly across the assigned territory
  • Proven success in exceeding financial sales goals using a consultative sales approach
  • Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Arabic or Russian, is desirable.
