About the role

  • Kpler's Sales team is looking for a highly motivated Account Executive (Maritime) to drive new account acquisition across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a territory, ensuring timely and thorough responses to client requests while meeting or exceeding annual sales growth targets.
  • Uncover opportunities for upsell and cross sells within these accounts and drive them to close.
  • Serve as a commercial partner for the business, supporting budgeting, multi year planning, demand planning, reporting, and key metrics.
  • Gather insights on products and competitors directly from clients to inform strategy.
  • Keep the CRM up to date with accurate notes and updates, collaborating with the sales team to maintain achievable forecasts.
  • Support cross functional teams and share expertise to drive organizational success.
  • Represent Kpler externally with professionalism and credibility.
  • Contribute to corporate projects and initiatives that impact the company as a whole.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms to secure profitable agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies.

Experience & Background

  • Essential: Experience in Account Executive/Sales roles
  • Essential: Experience working for technology/data vendors
  • Essential: 3 years experience in a commercial role
  • Desirable: Experience in the maritime space
  • Desirable: Experience in the commodities space
  • Desirable: Experience using sales tools such as Salesforce, Zoominfo, Outreach, Sales Navigator
