The Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Program Manager to lead enterprise accessibility initiatives, governance, and compliance programs across the organization.
  • The ideal candidate will develop accessibility strategies, oversee cross functional implementation, promote inclusive design practices, and ensure products, services, technologies, and workplace environments meet accessibility standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise accessibility strategies, governance frameworks, policies, standards, and multi year accessibility roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead accessibility programs across digital products, websites, mobile applications, enterprise systems, workplace technologies, facilities, communications, learning materials, and customer facing services.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, UX/UI Design, Engineering, Information Technology, Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Customer Experience, Facilities, Procurement, and Executive Leadership to integrate accessibility throughout the organization.
  • Establish accessibility governance processes, review frameworks, testing methodologies, documentation standards, remediation plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including accessibility compliance rates, audit findings, remediation progress, user satisfaction, training completion, accessibility issue resolution, and program maturity.
  • Conduct accessibility assessments, audits, gap analyses, usability testing, and risk evaluations while identifying opportunities to improve inclusive experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accessibility regulations, international standards, organizational policies, and industry best practices, including WCAG, Section 508, ADA principles, and relevant regional accessibility requirements.
  • Promote inclusive design principles and provide guidance on accessible content creation, digital accessibility, assistive technologies, procurement standards, and workplace accommodations.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives through AI powered accessibility testing, automated compliance monitoring, accessibility analytics, workflow automation, and accessible technology innovation.
  • Manage relationships with accessibility consultants, assistive technology providers, auditing firms, regulatory bodies, disability advocacy organizations, and internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize accessibility testing tools, project management platforms, content management systems (CMS), Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft 365, Power BI, issue tracking systems, and analytics platforms to monitor accessibility performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop accessibility policies, training materials, awareness campaigns, executive reports, governance dashboards, business cases, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.

Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop accessibility specialists, program coordinators, UX professionals, and cross functional stakeholders while fostering a culture of inclusion, accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience (UX), Business Administration, Education, Disability Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC), Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS), PMP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent are highly advantageous.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accessibility, digital inclusion, program management, UX, compliance, product management, or related roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing enterprise accessibility initiatives, compliance programs, or cross functional accessibility projects preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital accessibility, inclusive design, assistive technologies, accessibility governance, accessibility testing methodologies, change management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, Accessibility Insights, JAWS, NVDA, screen readers, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft 365, Power BI, project management software, and collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI powered accessibility tools, automation technologies, accessibility analytics, cloud platforms, inclusive research methods, and enterprise digital transformation is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, analytical, facilitation, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accessibility initiatives while balancing compliance requirements, user experience, operational priorities, budgets, and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in remote and hybrid environments, with flexibility to facilitate workshops, accessibility assessments, stakeholder meetings, and awareness events as required.
