Access Control Specialist

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Manage user access rights across systems, applications, and physical security platforms
• Provision, modify, and deprovision user accounts based on role changes and onboarding/offboarding
• Monitor and audit access logs to detect unauthorized or suspicious activity
• Conduct periodic access reviews and ensure compliance with internal policies
• Collaborate with IT, HR, and security teams to align access permissions with job roles
• Troubleshoot access-related issues and provide timely support to employees
• Maintain documentation of access control procedures and policies
• Support implementation of identity and access management (IAM) tools and systems
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• **Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in access control within the UAE**
• Proven experience in access control, identity management, or IT security
• Familiarity with IAM systems (e.g., Active Directory, Azure AD, or similar)
• Strong understanding of security principles such as least privilege and role-based access control (RBAC)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
• Experience with access governance tools and audit processes
• Knowledge of physical access control systems (badging, biometrics, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and SaaS environments
