Academic Program Coordinator II – Civil Engineering Technology (PT – 18 hours)

Education : Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with a major study in Civil Engineering.

Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred.

Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, engineering education, laboratory operations, academic program support, or a related field.

in a higher education environment is preferred.

License/Certification: Valid drivers’ license or access to transportation.

Professional Engineering License is preferred.

Residency: Must reside in NH, ME, VT, MA, RI, or CT.

Recommended Work Traits: Knowledge of the civil engineering technology field as it relates to the course of instruction, teaching methods and materials, and curriculum development, and course/program evaluation.

Knowledge of educational standards and procedures.

Ability to work with and secure the cooperation of others.

Ability to maintain comprehensive records of the progress and development of the individual student.

Ability to work effectively with educators, industry professionals, regulators, and community members outside the college.

Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations and as a member of academic department/team.

Ability to handle matters with diplomacy and to maintain confidentiality, as appropriate.

Ability to exercise professional judgment and proper decision-making.

Must be willing to maintain an appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the college.
