Write Feature Spec covering the requirements and detailed design
Implement improvements and features individually or as part of a team
Triage, resolve internal and customer found issues
Evaluate, Integrate third party libraries
Peer review of Feature Spec, Code, Test Plan and other engineering documents
Improve performance/scale of existing features/solutions
Help with interview, onboarding and mentoring of new hires
Plan, schedule, track and periodically report the project status all the way to customer delivery
8+ years of relevant hands-on software development experience.
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
Strong AI experience with Claude is required
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with MACsec and MKA protocol stack development.
Hands-on experience with IEEE 802.1X-2010/2020 MKA: CAK/CKN, SAK derivation and distribution, key server election, EAPOL-MKA PDU handling, and live/potential peer state management.
Strong understanding of IEEE 802.1AE (MACsec), including SecTAG, SCI, secure channel and secure association lifecycle, ICV, and replay protection.
Good understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
Experience developing software for networking products, routers, switches, security appliances, or similar systems.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
Ability to analyze complex system-level issues and develop robust solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with XPN (GCM-AES-XPN-128/256), 64-bit packet numbering, SSCI/salt derivation, and 802.1AEbw.
Experience with PSK-based and 802.1X/EAP-derived CAK, including RADIUS and MSK-based key hierarchies.
Experience with cryptographic algorithms and encryption technologies such as AES-GCM, AES-CMAC, and AES Key Wrap.
Familiarity with cipher suite negotiation, confidentiality offset, validateFrames modes, and delay protection.
Experience with MACsec over LAG/port-channel and switch-to-switch and host-to-switch deployment models.
Knowledge of Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, routing and switching.
Familiarity with IEEE8021-SECY-MIB counters and protocol-level troubleshooting using per-SA/SC statistics.
