Role Description
The 4-Axis CNC Machining Center Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Umm Al Quwain.
The operator produces aluminum components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Machining Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and run 4-axis CNC machining centers.
- Select and install tools, load materials, perform test runs, and monitor machine performance.
- Adjust parameters to maintain accuracy and surface quality.
- Inspect finished parts with appropriate measuring instruments and document production data.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Production and Safety
- Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to prioritize jobs and optimize cycle times.
- Follow safety procedures and support continuous improvement in machining processes.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience operating CNC machining centers, preferably 4-axis, including setup, programming adjustments, and production monitoring.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, CAD/CAM outputs, and work instructions, including machining tolerances and finishes.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges for dimensional inspection and quality control.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and best practices for machining aluminum profiles and extrusions.
- Familiarity with basic machine maintenance, fault identification, and coordination with maintenance teams.
- Commitment to safety, housekeeping, standard operating procedures, and company policies.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and ability to work independently and within a production team.
- Prior aluminum fabrication or extrusion experience is an advantage.
- Vocational or technical training in machining or manufacturing is preferred.
- Willingness to work on-site in Umm Al Quwain and flexibility for shift work based on production needs.
