3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer

Role overview

Support and incident management

• Act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure issues from first-line, second-line, and service desk teams.
• Lead or support major incident response, including triage, containment, root cause analysis, and service restoration.
• Produce root cause and post-incident reports with preventative actions and measurable follow-ups.
• Maintain and enhance monitoring and alerting to improve early detection and reduce repeat incidents.

Infrastructure engineering

• Design, build, implement, and support Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file and print services, and other core services.
• Manage VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms, resource optimization, and capacity planning.
• Administer backup and recovery, restore testing, data retention controls, SAN/NAS storage, and performance tuning.
