Under the general direction of the Manager/Chief Engineer and in accordance with the requirements of the Provincial Licensing Standard, the incumbent performs the following:
Maintains and repairs high pressure boilers, refrigeration compressors, air compressors, diesel engines and generators, electric motors, pumps, turbines, and all the related equipment necessary to supply and deliver steam, chilled water, compressed air, emergency power, and fire-main-loop high pressure water to meet the requirements of the Centre.
Assists the Chief Engineer with coordination of preventative maintenance and demand maintenance.
Duty to the safe and efficient operation of the plant.
Performs assigned maintenance work and provides assistance to support the maintenance of site as required.

Minimum three years’ experience in a steam plant.
Experience with instrumentation and industrial controls preferred.
Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
In accordance with the Regulations under the Power Engineers Act, a valid and current Manitoba Third Class Power Engineer's Certificate required.
Instrument Technician, Millwright, Pipefitter, or Electrician licence an asset.
