- Design and decorate custom cakes, including wedding cakes, structured cakes, and specialty orders
- Master the use of fondant, sugar flowers, and 3D figures to create visually stunning cake designs
- Stay updated on current trends and incorporate them into cake designs
- Collaborate with clients to bring their visions to life while providing expert advice on design and flavor options
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all health and safety standards are met
- Train and mentor junior decorators and bakery staff
Requirements
- Proven experience as a cake decorator, preferably in a leadership role
- Extensive knowledge of cake decoration techniques, including fondant work, sculpting, and sugar art
- Strong creative flair and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills and a customer focused mindset
- Knowledge of current cake design trends
