What You Will Do
- As a hands-on Director of Software Engineering, you will lead high-performing engineering teams responsible for delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions that drive customer outcomes and business growth. You will partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Executive Leadership to modernize our platform, accelerate delivery through AI, and ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Management and senior leadership to define and execute the product and technology roadmap.
- Lead the modernization of legacy applications and platforms, driving migration to cloud-native architectures and modern development frameworks.
- Lead the evolution of a modern, cloud-native product while working with a compelling technology stack and solving complex engineering challenges at scale.
- Own the technical roadmap, including architecture, security, reliability, scalability, performance, and technical debt reduction.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, design discussions, technical decision-making, and engineering coaching.
- Leverage AI-powered development and testing tools to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and speed of delivery; establish and measure outcomes using productivity and engineering KPIs.
- Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of customer commitments and product releases.
- Drive operational excellence through robust incident management, root cause analysis, observability, and continuous improvement practices.
- Champion modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and cloud automation.
- Build, lead, coach, and develop engineering managers and engineers while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Manage internal teams, contractors, and strategic technology partners to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
