2ND W/K ENGINEER

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of the dredger's engine and mechanical systems.
• Monitor and optimize engine performance, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks as per the vessel's maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions.
• Supervise and guide the engineering team, providing technical support and training as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all engineering activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate dredging operations and ensure seamless project execution.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and best practices in dredging engineering.
• Represent NMDC Group PJSC professionally and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer or similar role in the dredging industry.
• A valid Chief Engineer's license or equivalent certification.
• In-depth knowledge of marine diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with dredging equipment and processes is preferred.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.
• Willingness to work onboard a dredger for extended periods.
• Excellent physical health and ability to perform manual labor.
• A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintenance.
