Position Summary: Responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment while maintaining safety, quality, delivery, and productivity standards. Role requires a higher level of technical knowledge than entry-level operators and may include equipment setup, process adjustments, training of new operators, and support continuous improvement activities. Key Responsibilities: Production Operations – Operate assigned machinery, perform setups and changeovers, troubleshoot minor issues, and maintain production records. Quality – Perform inspections and support corrective actions. Safety – Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S standards. Continuous Improvement – Participate in Lean initiatives and productivity improvements. Team Support – Assist in training and mentoring operators and collaborate across functions. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Two to four years of manufacturing experience. Ability to read work instructions and operate production equipment. Basic computer skills a must. Lean manufacturing experience, quality inspection knowledge, forklift certification if applicable, and technical training in manufacturing operations, a Robot troubleshooting will be a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently, strong communication, training capability, and commitment to safety and quality. Performance measures – Safety compliance, quality performance, productivity, attendance, equipment uptime, continuous improvement participation, and teamwork. Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods for length of shift. Lift up to 35 – 50 pounds, perform repetitive movements, and work in a manufacturing environment. Full body mobility and good eyesight. Strong hand-eye coordination. Constant alertness and attention to detail. Tolerance for exposure to some odors.
