ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set-up, adjust, and operate extrusion machine to form, bend and punch a variety of work
  • Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates
  • Use caliper, micrometer, comparator & other measuring equipment
  • Sorting and packaging parts
  • Verify quantity & quality of material
  • Complete & maintain all required paperwork
  • Maintains a safe & clean work environment & departmental housekeeping standards
  • Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations
  • Other duties as assigned or required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Highly motivated self starter
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Requires 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Good math skills
  • Basic blueprint reading, reading, & writing skills
  • Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch or pull objects, tools, or controls
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision & depth perception
  • Occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulders, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, squat, & bend
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment
  • Ability to work overtime when required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required to sit and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
