Role Overview
Build production enterprise data applications for RBC Group Risk Management during an eight-month student placement.
Work across backend Python services, data pipelines, interactive frontends, and software engineering practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and build full-stack web applications using Dash and Python.
- Develop backend services for complex data transformations, pipelines, and business logic.
- Create responsive interfaces that help stakeholders interact with data and generate insights.
- Write tested, documented, scalable code and use version control, code reviews, and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate AI/ML models into production web applications and collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Be enrolled in the third year or higher of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related program at a Canadian university.
- Have at least eight months of completed co-op or internship experience in software development, web development, or data engineering.
- Demonstrate strong Python and advanced Pandas experience, plus knowledge of web architecture, SQL, and relational databases.
- Show strong problem-solving, attention to detail, interest in data quality, teamwork, and technical communication.
- Be eligible for the complete January 2027 through August 2027 work term.
