Role overview
Build production full-stack web applications and data solutions for RBC's Group Risk Management organization.
The eight-month Winter 2027 student placement runs from January 2027 through August 2027.
What you will do
- Design and build reusable, scalable full-stack applications with Dash and Python.
- Develop Python backend services with Pandas for transformations, pipelines, and business logic.
- Create responsive interfaces that enable stakeholders to interact with data and derive insights.
- Write clean, tested, and documented code using version control, code reviews, and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate AI and machine-learning models into production applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and developers to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
Must-have qualifications
- Currently enrolled in the third year or later of a computer science, computer engineering, or related program at a Canadian university.
- At least eight months of completed co-op or internship experience in software development, web development, or data engineering.
- Strong Python proficiency with experience building production applications.
- Advanced Pandas experience for data manipulation and transformation.
- Solid understanding of web application architecture, SQL, and relational databases.
