Role Overview
Eight-month Winter 2027 student placement in Group Risk Management focused on enterprise data applications and production software.
The placement starts in January 2027 and ends in August 2027.
What You Will Do
- Build full-stack web applications using Dash and Python for enterprise data needs.
- Develop Python backend services with Pandas for data transformations, pipelines, and business logic.
- Create interactive interfaces that enable stakeholders to explore data and derive insights.
- Write tested and documented code and use version control, code reviews, and deployment pipelines.
- Integrate AI/ML models into production applications and collaborate with stakeholders and developers.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a third-year or higher Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related program at a Canadian university.
- At least 8 months of completed co-op or internship experience in software, web development, or data engineering.
- Strong Python and advanced Pandas experience, including production application development.
- Understanding of web application architecture, SQL, and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, data curiosity, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
