Opportunity

Support the advancement of AI capabilities within Operational Risk as an AI Business Analyst Intern.

The role combines business and technical work to identify, document, and deliver AI use cases with risk subject matter experts and technology teams.

This is a four-month Winter 2027 student placement running from January 2027 through April 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operational Risk subject matter experts to understand AI needs and ensure requirements are met.
  • Document AI use cases through intake, scoping, and detailed requirements across the AI development lifecycle.
  • Experiment with available large language models to support AI opportunity identification and best practices.
  • Support AI use-case delivery through partnerships with AI and technology development teams.
  • Act as a change champion for AI adoption within the business.

Required qualifications

  • Strong experience using artificial intelligence, including demonstrable prompt-engineering experience.
  • Experience creating and running Python scripts.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent interpersonal and highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-directed and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership acumen and a passion for applying leadership in a dynamic business environment.

Student eligibility

  • Candidates must return to school after the April 2027 work-term end date.
  • Candidates graduating in April 2027 must require the full four-month work term as a mandatory component of graduation.

Work arrangement

  • The successful candidate must be located within Ontario for the duration of the work term.
  • Specific virtual, hybrid, or in-office arrangements are to be discussed with the hiring manager.

Placement schedule

  • The placement is a fixed four-month Winter 2027 student term with a January 2027 start and April 2027 end.
