2027 Undergraduate Projects & Design Engineering Internship

Being part of a great team of experienced engineers working with internal and external customers across multiple departments.

Create 3D CAD models and develop design concepts within project specifications.

Produce detailed engineering drawings and documentation for manufacturing release.

Coordinate engineering change requests and support engineering change management activities for new and existing products.

Liaise with procurement, supply chain, suppliers and cross-functional teams to support product development activities.

Gain hands-on exposure to verification testing, data analysis and engineering reporting.

Prepare and present findings for design reviews and engineering projects.

Develop proficiency in CAD and drafting practices aligned with Cummins standards and specifications.

Coordinate product design and drawing development with drafting teams.

Participate in project management activities for new product development projects.

Gain hands-on assembly experience with engine power pack and packaged products.

To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:

Are currently studying a degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Product Engineering, ideally in your 3 rd or 4 th year of study

Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of January 2027

Ideally completed the penultimate year with one final year of university left before graduation.

Are available for the full 13 months and be willing to defer your studies for that duration.
