Planned Start Fall 2026 (available immediately) Estimated Duration 3-6 months Meet the Team We are seeking a highly motivated Commodity Research & Trading Analytics Intern to support our team’s fundamental commodity research and trading analytics efforts.
This intern will work closely with two traders and one analyst, contributing to market research, analytical projects, and trading-related support across a diverse commodity portfolio.
The role offers exposure to a broad set of markets, including crude oil and petroleum products, agricultural products, biofuels, and carbon markets.
The intern will also be expected to work extensively with AI tools to enhance research, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
What You’ll Do Support day-to-day fundamental commodity research and trading analytics.
Assist traders and analysts with market monitoring, data analysis, and research projects.
Help analyze and interpret developments across crude oil and petroleum products, agricultural commodities, biofuels, and carbon markets.
Use AI tools extensively to improve research processes, generate insights, and increase productivity.
Contribute to analytical work related to trading ideas, market trends, and internal reporting.
Collaborate closely with team members in a fast-paced market environment.
What You Bring Graduating between December 2026 and July 2027 Academic Excellence: Cumulative GPA of 3.5 and above required.
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, economics, or finance.
Demonstrated interest in financial markets and investment analysis, especially interest in commodity markets (futures/spreads) and option pricing.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; skilled in data manipulation.
Ability to apply AI tools effectively and clearly explain methodology, rationale, and output validation.
Strong work ethic; effective both independently and as a collaborative team player.
Intellectually curious and creative, seeking ongoing challenges and continuous improvement.
