1st Shift: Maintenance, Repairs, and Operations Technician Assistant/Press Assistant at Resource Label Group, LLC — Buffalo, USA | Base Career | Base Career
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 6:30AM-3:00PM, with occasional overtime
Responsibilities:
- Possesses extensive knowledge of all production processes, activities, equipment, materials, products, personnel, and maintenance procedures
- Helps manage scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work to facilities and equipment
- Helps maintain equipment maintenance and cleaning logs in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- Consults with management and our MRO Technician on repair schedules and production delays
- Helps generate purchase orders for needed supplies. Follows up on invoices for supplies, repair parts, or service; and issues payment authorization after vendors' obligations have been completed
- Makes regular daily visual inspections of building, grounds, facilities, equipment, and projects in process or completed
- Learns from facilities-oriented failures and works as part of the Maintenance team to develop solutions to bring to the attention of management
- Helps keep track of inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building and equipment maintenance
- Helps maintain vendor database, including contact information, in ERP system
- Initiates immediate communication to management when a problem has no immediate solution or when an emergency breakdown occurs
- Assists with identifying workplace hazards that exist or could develop, as well as with correcting problems
- Contacts outside contractors when needed
- Reads industry and maintenance-oriented periodicals to find better and more economical means to accomplish company goals
- Cleans and keeps immediate work area neat and orderly; maintains housekeeping standards
- Works safely and efficiently
- Performs other duties (including learning how to be a press assistant) as requested

Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years of maintenance experience desired - specialized training in carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical fundamentals are preferred
Experience in the printing industry is a plus
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Must be able to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices
