Job Summary
The Software Engineer II is a high impact role within the newly structured Software Development team, responsible for the architectural integrity and performance of core applications. Working primarily with ColdFusion and React, this role serves as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution. This position is suited for a professional who thrives on solving complex organizational challenges, refining development processes, and elevating the technical standards of the entire team through active mentorship and strategic thinking.
Duties and Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Spearhead the design and scalability of software applications, ensuring that all integrations align with long-term business strategy.
- Standards & Governance: Define and maintain the department’s coding standards and best practices, ensuring the codebase remains clean, performant, and maintainable.
- Integration Leadership: Architect complex API integrations and data exchange workflows, conducting deep-dive research into third-party system requirements to ensure seamless connectivity.
- Process Optimization: Proactively identify inefficiencies in the development lifecycle and implement modern solutions (e.g., CI/CD improvements or automated testing) to increase team velocity.
